Let Customers Book You Right From Your Landing Page

·StackedPixels Team·4 min read

If what you sell is your time — a cleaning visit, a consultation, a fitting, a repair — a product grid doesn't help you. What helps is a customer picking an open slot and landing on your calendar without a single phone call. That's what the new Booking block does: drop it on any landing page, and customers book real appointments against your real availability.

Add it like any other block

The Booking block lives in the same page editor as everything else — drag it onto a page, and it's live. Customers see your available services, pick a time, and submit a request. Depending on how you've set things up, that request either needs your approval or auto-confirms on the spot. Either way, you manage every appointment from one place: Dashboard → Scheduling.

It actually prevents double-booking

This is the part that matters most and shows the least. Every booking request gets checked against your real schedule on the server — working hours, breaks, buffers between appointments, your daily cap, time already booked, and (if you've connected one) busy time from an external calendar. The slot a customer picks has to be one the system is currently offering; stale or guessed times are rejected outright. Under the hood, the database itself enforces that no two appointments on your account can overlap — so even a flood of simultaneous requests for the same slot can only let one of them through.

Built for how appointments actually work

  • Deposits and policies — set a deposit per service, how far in advance customers must book, and how late they can cancel or reschedule.
  • Recurring visits — services you mark as repeatable let customers book "every week for N visits" in one go. If a later occurrence collides with something, it's skipped and both of you are told — the first visit always has to be available, or nothing gets created.
  • Time zones done properly — your hours and holidays are set in your own time zone; customers always see times in your business's zone, since these are in-person appointments. Daylight saving transitions are handled correctly, including the one wall-clock hour each spring that doesn't exist and the one each fall that happens twice.
  • Email notifications — booking requests, confirmations, declines, reschedules, cancellations, and a reminder before the appointment, sent through the same email system the rest of the platform uses. If email isn't configured on your account yet, bookings still work — you'll just see a banner, and nothing gets silently lost.
  • A private link for every customer — anyone who books gets a secure link to view, cancel, or reschedule their own appointment, with no account or password needed.

Google and Outlook sync, if you want it

The built-in calendar works completely on its own — connecting an external calendar is optional. If you do connect Google or Outlook, StackedPixels reads busy time from it so a meeting you added there blocks that slot here too, and pushes your confirmed appointments to it as events. It only ever reads busy/free time — it never touches anything already on your calendar, so there's no risk of StackedPixels and your calendar fighting over an event.

If a connected calendar ever becomes unreachable — an expired token, a provider outage — StackedPixels doesn't guess. It stops offering times rather than risk double-booking you, and your dashboard shows exactly what's wrong and a one-click way to reconnect.

Who has access

Scheduling — the Booking block and the built-in calendar — is included on Business plans and up. Connecting Google or Outlook calendar sync is a Pro plan and up feature on top of that. If your current plan doesn't include it yet, the Scheduling tab in your dashboard shows you exactly what unlocking it gets you.

Nothing you don't need

There's no payment collection built into a booking yet — deposits are recorded for your reference, not charged automatically — and it's one appointment at a time per account, so it fits a single-provider business best. Both are deliberate: it's easier to add capability later than to walk back something that over-promised on day one.
