Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the StackedPixels platform ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service. We may require you to accept updated Terms from time to time, and continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance.

2. Account Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account and use the Service. By creating an account, you represent that you are at least 18 years old, the information you provide is accurate and complete, and you will keep your account credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account.

3. Prohibited Content

StackedPixels maintains a strict content policy to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and platform integrity. The following content is strictly prohibited on the platform:

Alcohol-Related Content

You may not use StackedPixels to create, list, advertise, or distribute any alcohol-related products or content, including but not limited to:

Alcoholic beverage product listings (beer, wine, spirits, cocktails, hard seltzers, etc.)
Alcohol menus, wine lists, drink menus, or bar menus
Alcohol-related labels, branding, or promotional materials
QR codes that link to alcohol ordering, delivery, or sales platforms
Landing pages or storefronts featuring alcoholic products or promotions
Happy hour promotions, brewery/distillery/winery marketing materials

Cannabis & Drug-Related Content

You may not use StackedPixels to create, list, advertise, or distribute any cannabis or drug-related products or content, including but not limited to:

Cannabis, marijuana, THC, or CBD product listings (edibles, concentrates, flower, vape cartridges, etc.)
Dispensary menus, strain listings, or cannabis delivery services
Drug paraphernalia (bongs, pipes, rolling papers, grinders, etc.)
Controlled or illegal substances of any kind
QR codes that link to cannabis or drug ordering, delivery, or sales platforms
Landing pages or storefronts featuring cannabis, drug products, or promotions
Smoke shop or head shop product listings

Content is automatically screened for prohibited keywords related to alcohol, cannabis, and drugs. Violations will result in content being blocked from publication. Repeated violations may result in account suspension or termination.

4. User Responsibilities

You are responsible for all content you create, upload, or publish through the Service
You must comply with all applicable laws and regulations in your jurisdiction
You must not use the Service to engage in any activity that is illegal or violates these Terms
You agree to promptly remove any content found to be in violation of these Terms upon notification
You must not attempt to circumvent content moderation or security measures

5. Payments & Fees

Platform Role

StackedPixels is a software platform provider only and is not a payment processor, money transmitter, marketplace facilitator, or merchant of record.We do not custody buyer funds at any point in the transaction lifecycle. All customer payments for goods or services sold through landing-page storefronts are processed directly through the merchant's connected Stripe Connect Express account, with funds settling to the merchant's own bank account.

Merchants are solely responsible for customer transactions, taxes, refunds, chargebacks, fulfillment, and compliance obligations, including but not limited to sales-tax collection and remittance, consumer-protection compliance, product liability, and any regulatory requirements applicable to their goods or services. Merchants are also solely responsible for their relationship with, and obligations to, their connected payment provider.

Merchant Payment Account

To accept buyer payments through landing-page storefronts, merchants must connect a Stripe Connect Express account. By connecting an account, merchants:

Agree to the Stripe Connected Account Agreement and Stripe Services Agreement
Authorize StackedPixels to create checkout sessions on the merchant's connected account on the merchant's behalf for the limited purpose of processing buyer payments through the Service
Acknowledge that StackedPixels has no access to the merchant's underlying Stripe account credentials and acts only via the Stripe Connect platform integration

Subscription Fees

Certain features of the Service require a paid subscription. By subscribing, you agree to pay the applicable fees as described at the time of purchase.

Subscription fees are billed on a recurring basis as specified in your plan
Subscription billing is handled by third-party billing providers — Helcim for merchants located in the United States, and Polar for merchants located in all other countries (including Canada) — subject to those providers' terms of service
Failed renewal payments may result in feature suspension following a grace period

Platform Service Fee

StackedPixels charges a platform service fee equal to 1% of qualifying sales processed through connected merchant payment accounts.Qualifying sales are landing-page storefront transactions completed through a merchant's connected provider while the merchant's account is in good standing on the Service.

For sales processed through Stripe Connect, the 1% platform service fee is collected automatically at the time of each transaction as a Stripe application fee. The fee is denominated in the same currency as the underlying sale and is split to StackedPixels' platform balance the moment the buyer's payment clears.
If the merchant subsequently issues a refund, Stripe automatically reverses the corresponding portion of the platform service fee at the same time it reverses the merchant's share of the charge. No separate adjustment is required.
The platform service fee is separate from, and in addition to, any processor fees the merchant pays to their connected payment provider.
For any non-Stripe sales path that may be added in the future, platform service fees may instead be calculated and invoiced monthly through a third-party billing provider; merchants will be notified before any such alternative path is enabled on their account.

Refunds & Chargebacks

Refunds, cancellations, and chargebacks are governed by our Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms. In summary: refunds and chargebacks for customer transactions are issued and absorbed solely by the merchant through the merchant's connected payment provider, as described under "Platform Role" above; StackedPixels subscription-fee refunds are handled as set out in the Refund Policy. Where there is any conflict on the subject of refunds, the Refund Policy controls.

6. Free Plan Terms

The Free plan is a limited preview of the Service intended to let you evaluate the platform before choosing a paid plan. The terms below apply only to Free accounts and are lifted automatically the moment you upgrade to any paid plan.

14-Day Preview Window for Certain Items

Label templates and business-card (vCard) QR codes created on the Free plan carry a 14-day preview window from the date of creation. When the window ends:

Public scans of an expired business-card QR return an unavailable page instead of the encoded contact information.
The editor for an expired label template is replaced with an upgrade prompt; the underlying design data is retained but is no longer editable or exportable.
Nothing is deleted at the end of the 14-day window. Upgrading to any paid plan restores full access to the affected items immediately.

Reminder emails are sent while the preview window is open — at approximately 12, 10, 8, 6, 4, and 2 days remaining — to notify you of the pending expiry. These reminders stop automatically when you upgrade.

Deletion Not Available on the Free Plan

Free-plan accounts cannot delete content items they have created — including QR codes, label templates, forms, landing pages, folders, and any related sub-items. This limitation exists to keep Free-plan usage counts and preview windows from being reset through repeated deletion and recreation. Deletion becomes available on any paid plan. Account-level actions unrelated to content (leaving an organization, declining an invite, disconnecting a merchant payment account, deleting form submissions, and closing your account) remain available regardless of plan.

Analytics Not Included

The Free plan does not include scan analytics. Scans of your dynamic QR codes are still recorded by the Service (to enforce the monthly scan limit and to preserve continuity if you later upgrade), but scan counts, recent-scan feeds, and per-QR performance breakdowns are only visible on paid plans.

7. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time, with or without notice, for any violation of these Terms — including but not limited to posting prohibited content. You may delete your account at any time from your account settings. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately, and we may delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

8. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, StackedPixels shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from your use of the Service.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page and may require you to re-accept the updated Terms. Material changes will be communicated through the Service or via email. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
